Duncan Loves Fall, Too

Hello friends!  Are you having a good week?  We've been busy, busy, and I don't see things slowing down anytime soon.

I have not posted on Duncan in ages, and I thought I would share a few pictures.  Oftentimes, he can hear the wind from inside the house (or we think he can) and he almost begs demands to be taken out.  You see, he wants to engage in his favorite activity -- chasing the leaves as the wind blows them around.

When he was just a puppy, we realized he loved to chase the leaves that blow around on the street and driveway.  He zips around and grabs a leaf, carries it a little way, then drops it and starts chasing another leaf.  Sometimes I have to turn in circles to keep him from wrapping the leash around my legs.  He's beyond excited -- he's positively gleeful during this activity, and it always brings a smile to our face.  Duncan will be five years old in January (not that far away) and he still has not outgrown this most favorite of pastimes.  🍂

We are so glad for these beautiful autumn days filled with sunshine; it seemed like it rained here for weeks on end.  In fact, my mother-in-law said she saw on the news that our area has had twice the normal annual amount of rainfall for this year.  We are thrilled to have you back, glorious sunshine; we were starting to mildew around here.  ☔

It's hard to get pictures of a subject who's never still.  😉

Love this shot.  😄

Please excuse our re-cycling bin in the background.  The re-cycling was just collected this morning, and we hadn't brought the bin back down the driveway.

And finally -- an action shot.  The great thing about dogs is that sometimes, it takes so little to make their day.  🐶

These last pictures were taken almost two weeks ago.  Hal was outside, and he told me to get my camera and come out for a photo op.

I hope you're finding some beauty in this season and things you're thankful for.  Thank you so much for visiting, and have a lovely day!

Blessings,
