Memorial Day

Thank you to our American military men and women currently serving all around the world and to all our veterans for your service and sacrifice to our country.  We would not remain free without you.

Memorial Day

"Decoration Day is the most beautiful of our national holidays...The grim cannon have turned into palm branches, and the shell and shrapnel into peach blossoms."~Thomas Bailey Aldrich

Memorial Day

I've been upset and mad as fire angry for the past week, maybe two weeks -- I'm starting to lose count.  I can't remember when I've been so disgusted with the leadership of our nation.  It's become glaringly obvious that our current administration has very little ethics, scruples, and apparently, no accountability.

While some families are grieving over flag-draped coffins, our federal employees and elected officials have chosen to drape themselves in the Fifth Amendment.

Because I've been so disgusted, and sad, I almost chose not to write a Memorial Day Tribute.  But then I realized that Memorial Day is really about remembering and saying a heartfelt "Thank You."
