Replacements, Ltd. at Christmastime

Hi everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and enjoyed a harvest feast with loved ones.  We had a wonderful holiday and a scrumptious Thanksgiving meal.

I'm knee-deep in Christmas decorations, so I've decided to re-publish a few of my older Christmas posts this week.  Today's post was originally published back in December of 2011 -- my very first year of blogging.  I did a little bit of editing to the original post and if you haven't seen this one yet, I hope you thoroughly enjoy it.  My husband and I had paid a visit to Replacements Ltd., in November of that year to pick up some dishes we'd purchased, and while we were there Hal took some photos of their marvelous Christmas displays.  Their Christmas dishes and accessories were swoon worthy!

ORIGINAL POST:  This post is for dishaholics everywhere. We made a trip to Replacements, Ltd., today, and I just had to share these pictures with all of you.  The store is just outside of Greensboro, and it takes us about an hour to get there.  We've been several times before, but never at Christmas; and oh my goodness, I couldn't believe the decorations and gorgeous displays.  They always have beautiful things, but this was some serious eye candy.  We took so many pictures, I'll have to make this a two-part post.  I wanted to share the Christmas pictures this evening for Seasonal Sundays, so here goes.  You can find Part 2 of the tour Here.

Blue and White at Replacements Ltd.

As promised, I'm back with the second installment of the Replacements Ltd. trip a few weeks ago.  Today's post will focus on the beautiful displays of blue and white we saw that day.

A Trip to Replacements Ltd.

Those of you who haven't the slightest bit of interest in "dishes" -- china, crystal, silver, glassware, etc., might want to skip this post.  I just love dishes, etc., and periodically, it's fun for me to indulge myself.  Last Friday, Mr. Forest Manor and I went to Greensboro, had lunch, and then drove to Replacements, Ltd., which is just outside of Greensboro in McCleansville, N.C.  Five years ago, in 2011, we visited around Christmas time; my husband took a lot of pictures and I shared them in an after-Christmas post.

This time around, I went for the sole purpose of purchasing four cups and saucers to go with a set of my dishes.  I got those right away and then had so much fun looking around the store.  The displays were wonderful -- anything and everything spring and Easter.  I'd forgotten just how creative those folks are with their displays, and they have a small museum area as well.  They had even changed out many of the exhibits in the museum since our last visit.

Our Wedding China

Hi everyone!  I have been absent from blogging for about a week and a half.  Not only have I not posted, but I haven't had time to visit anyone else's blog either.  I always feel like I'm out of the loop when that happens.  We've had family things going on and the puppy is still keeping us very busy.

This week I'm participating in Cuisine Kathleen's "Let's Dish" party.  Her challenge this month is for us to set a table with wedding china.  It can be our wedding china, or the wedding china of a mother or grandmother, etc.  I just realized that the challenge was actually to use formal wedding china in an informal arrangement so, Oops, I guess I didn't get that memo.  The story of my life these days.  :)  Anyway, I was glad for the opportunity to set a table with our wedding dishes.  Those of you who are regular readers of my blog have seen this china before, but here it is again.
