I would love to show an image of the cartoon, but I'm afraid of getting sued. Anywho, it's a split picture of the owner reprimanding his dog. The first part of the picture is titled "What You Say To Your Dog." The owner is pointing his finger at his dog and saying, "Okay, Ginger! I've had it! You stay out of the garbage! Understand, Ginger?" The other half of the picture is titled "What Your Dog Hears" -- same image of the man pointing to his dog, and the little speech bubble says, "blah blah GINGER blah blah blah blah blah blah GINGER blah blah blah." It's funnier with the picture of course, but maybe you get the general idea. You can view the actual comic strip Here. Take out the word Ginger and insert Duncan, and that's been our weekend. :-D
Can't you just see the mischief popping out all over him? Trust me, it is.
Yep, he climbed up on top of my husband's computer bag all by himself (repeatedly) and then...
...took a nap. I have to admit, it was ever so cute. :)
If you'd like to see some really funny dog stories, check out Sharon Santoni's blog, My French Country Home. Her dogs Gibson and Ghetto get into some really funny adventures. Gibson, the mild-mannered Golden Retriever, is often led astray by the intrepid Wire Fox Terrier, Ghetto. The pictures are wonderful, and Sharon is such a talented writer and storyteller. In addition, her blog is absolutely beautiful; it's filled with images of her daily life in Normandy, France. She and her family have a lovely home and garden there.
What fun things did you do this weekend? Did you get some sunshine and maybe a nice nap, as well? Thank you for visiting!

OMG how cute is that Duncan - I could just give him lots of hugs and kisses and spoil him. He looks so cute in your husbands computer bag. Thanks for sharing Duncan's adventures - you should write a book about his
ReplyDeleteadventures.

Sharon's blog is one of my favorites. Dogs can be so mischievous.
ReplyDeleteIt poured rain Saturday, but Sunday was gorgeous and after church we went boating with friends - and I forgot my camera!
Ooooh, what a little cutie-pie! You will have such fun! And so many adventures with Duncan.... enjoy every minute!
ReplyDeleteWell he does look mischievous. You caught it well with your camera. Of all places to take a nap. Interesting! I bet you are tired at the end of the day! Very nice weather we're having, right?
ReplyDeleteI loved The Far Side too and every year that was the calendar I'd buy for my son! :) Oh, now you're not telling my that sweet little fuzzy face Duncan has been a booger! I don't believe it. He's so sweet.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia :)
OMG! Absolutely precious! Of course I'm not the one chasing him around:@)
ReplyDeleteHe is so tiny ! So cute!
ReplyDeleteI would not have a clue how to raise a puppy!
Eeep! He's so adorable. I can imagine the mischief. Our Pug was full of it for quite a while.
ReplyDeleteOh that darling baby! I could stay mad for approximately 2 minutes. :) Rudi & Franzie got into the trash just yesterday.
ReplyDeleteThank you SO much for guest posting at Decor To Adore.
I am so very behind in my computer time! It is going to take me forever to catch up, but I am so obsessive that I don't want to skip anything. I'm glad that I don't because I would have missed this post. I love the comic. I clicked to see the pinterested version. So cute and so true. (Sadly, you could probably insert my husband when I'm talking to him for the dog as well. Ooops.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of this is the part about him sitting in the computer bag. That needs to be saved and framed or something.
