This month, I'm sharing some images from our trip to England in 1999. As I explained in my previous posts, these pictures were all taken using a point and shoot camera with film (no digital cameras for us back then). As of this year, the pictures are 14 years old; they're not perfect, but I think they've held up pretty well for the most part. I hope you enjoy!

I edited the last picture in PikMonkey using the paint application. You can click on the link below the note cards to see the original posts, if you're interested. I hope you get a chance to visit Vee's note card party today. If you'd like to participate, you just need to select four pictures that you've already used in a previous post -- it's that simple. :)
Thanks so much for visiting House at Forest Manor and reading my blog; I hope you have a wonderful week!

Denise, I felt like I was visiting England viewing your wonderful images. I've been looking at old film photos and the ones I really like I've been scanning. Not sure what I'll do with them then!! Perhaps put them on a disc. Lovely selections for Vee's party.
ReplyDeleteI'm jumping back over here to reply to your question. Do you see the cable or hose that the mermaids are holding? They put it in their mouths to get oxygen and then wave it around to make bubbles. It's amazing! Thanks for visiting! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteBrings back memories of when I was stationed there! Very pretty pics and I have to chuckle, that 'cottage' is at least twice as big as my house:@)
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful country so beautifully represented in your photographs. Yes, I'd say that they stand the test of time. Bet you'd love to return with your digital camera in tow just to have at it all over again.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, definitely England! I especially love the texture in the last shot.
ReplyDeleteI have a favorite! It's Anne Hathaway cottage, and not even by a nose. I love them all, but that one is just fantastic to me. It kind of takes me away.
ReplyDeleteThese are really nice. Like a little mini tour.
ReplyDeleteI love the effects on the swan picture.

ReplyDeleteDenise, these turned out fabulous! They look like paintings. Love these, I'd order a set definitely!!! Makes me want to fly to England right away! xo
ReplyDeleteI love all of them, Denise! I particularly love Anne Hathaway's cottage. Oh, how I'd love to see all those places you visited.
ReplyDeleteYour first photo shows Woolwich, which I think doesn't exist any more but people still talk about it. So it is nice for me to finally 'see' it :) Enjoy the rest of your week, Denise :)
ReplyDeleteOh, you KNOW it's England when you look at these! They're great.

Love these note card photos. My favourite is the one peeking through the window. I like the fuzzy window frame and the clear image of the garden beyond.
ReplyDeleteI love England (we were there in '92) and you chose some great photos for your notecards. I like the edit you did to the last one and the photo of Anne Hatheway's cottage and garden is beautiful! Blessings, Pamela
ReplyDeleteDenise! How timely it is to see your photos!
ReplyDeleteI just found out that I am going to England and Scotland in August! I am beyond excited!
