We'll be putting the two trees in their stands today and bringing them into the house, after which Mr. Forest Manor will put the lights on and then turn the decorating over to me. :) Since it will take me awhile to get everything decorated, I wanted to share some images from our home at Christmas last year. You're probably all working on your Christmas today, too; I hope you enjoy looking at the pictures when it's time for you to take a break.
Thank you, friends, for stopping by! I hope you have a blessed day. I'm joining Judith at Lavender Cottage for Mosaic Monday. Thank you, Judith, for hosting!
Denise
I love seeing the reflection of lights in mirrors or your glass cabinets! It all looks lovely. Do you change things each year or do the same as the year before? I took pictures last year to help me if I got stuck for ideas ! Printed them out on an 8 by 11
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, it does take a long time to get things decorated. I have it all in my head what I want to do but I just sometimes can't get my body moving! I love every snap! Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Hello Denise
ReplyDeleteSo many wonderful and festive decorations in your home. Like Dotsie above, I like the reflections from the Christmas lights that can be as mesmerizing as the tree itself.
Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday.
Your home glows with light and love. I'm in no hurry to decorate yet. I like to take it slowly, savouring the decorating and reflecting on the meaning of Advent. I haven't been over to Laura's yet - she always has such great posts.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your decorating!
Wonderful photos, Denise!
ReplyDeleteI too especially like the second one, with the lights of your Christmas tree reflected.
Another favourite is the small church!
Have a lovely week!
Very pretty Denise! Happy Christmas Season-enjoy:@)
ReplyDeleteAll very beautiful...the stockings hung by the chimney with care :)
ReplyDeleteI especially love your hutch and that beautiful clock! :)
Your home looks so pretty and festive, Denise. I especially loved seeing the reflections of the lights in the glass cabinet and in the mirror. That way, you get double the enjoyment! I hope Duncan is enjoying the decorations, too. I decorated over the weekend and am enjoying the sights and the Christmas music.
ReplyDeleteYour house looks for warm and festive for the holidays. I haven't started decorating yet. I did assemble the new tree so that Boone would get used to it before I put decorations on it. He has left it alone perhaps because it looks like the ones he runs around outside.
ReplyDeleteLovely images of Christmas decorations....
ReplyDeleteAll is so "merry and bright"...beautiful Denise!
ReplyDeleteSo warm and pretty...love the colors of Christmas.
ReplyDeleteAnd what fun to see the train set up under the tree. I hope that my son will do that for his boys this year. They'd love it!
ReplyDeleteEverything is just beautiful. I chuckled when I read that you were putting last year's decor pictures up. I had thought of doing the exact same thing because I wasn't blogging last Christmas and therefore didn't show pictures. Then, I looked at the pictures and didn't think they looked all that great. (I guess... because I wasn't blogging and therefore wasn't all that picky about pictures?)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, yours looks lovely, and I know it will be just as lovely this year. The jury is still out on mine.
Such a warm and inviting sight, Denise. I know I asked you if we were going to see your trees this year and now I see that I was a little behind in my visits. Can't wait to see the magic you weave this year..Happy Weekend..Judy
