Kapp's Mill and Mosaic Monday
Today, I'm sharing some photos we took last fall in Dobson, North Carolina, about an hour's drive from where we live. We happened upon this spot some months ago on an outing with some other people, and we couldn't stop for a closer look that day. When fall rolled around, we decided to go back for a visit and take some pictures.

Duncan The Destroyer
Hi friends! I'm so glad the weekend is here! I hope you've had a good week; it's been very cold here for the past few days, but it's supposed to be much nicer tomorrow.
Earlier today, I came through the den on the way to the kitchen and I noticed that Duncan seemed to be wearing a new blue collar...

Ikea Goodies
Hello everyone. How has your week been so far? I hope the sun is shining where you are. It's sunny here with blue skies, but it is cold. Thankfully, we don't have the wind like yesterday, because the temperature is actually colder today.
Do you remember I mentioned way back in January about out little trip to the Ikea store in Charlotte, N.C.? That was a fun, albeit rushed, trip and I hope to go back before too long. There's something there that I need to get for my mom and maybe our son.
I wanted to show you my stash from the shopping trip. :) I was really amazed at their prices, so I did some impulse buying that day. I think they were all good deals though, so I don't feel too badly about it.

A Hummingbird's Nest?
Hi everyone! How's your week going? Mine has been okay. I hope not too many of you are snowed in and without electricity. It's been cold here, but no snow in our little town so far.
Late yesterday afternoon I took Duncan out to take care of business, and I happened to spot this on the ground in our front yard --

The English Town of Tring
Hello folks. I haven't disappeared, but it feels like I have. I haven't been posting or commenting for over a week. I mentioned previously that I had been feeling under the weather and thought it was probably allergies. Whatever the problem, it's sure slowed me down, but I'm really thankful I haven't been as sick as a lot of people this winter.
My Christmas decorations are still up in the living room (including the tree) and the dining room. Every time I thought about writing a post, I just couldn't seem to find the energy or inspiration. This post finally got done after a series of starts, stops, and changes. So glad that I haven't had the flu, but I seem to have had a bad case of writer's/blogger's block.
Since I don't have anything really new to share, I'm taking another little trip down memory lane today. I have just a few pictures to show you of a little town called Tring, in Hertfordshire, in the south of England.
