Calendar pages were turned over to a new month today.
I'm so glad the Dogwoods and the Redbud trees are blooming here right now.
I still think the name Redbud does not accurately describe these trees; the blossoms are definitely a pinkish-purple color. Did you know they're also known as Judas trees?
It's officially time for me to change the guest bedroom from the winter --
to the spring and summer look.
I'm fondly remembering our trip to England which we took about this very time of year, back in 1999. All those blue Forget-me-nots were so pretty.
Our David Austin roses should be blooming very soon now. Can't wait. :)
I'm linking to "Five on Friday," hosted by Amy at Love Made My Home. Thank you so much for visiting me and for your sweet comments earlier this week. I'll be making my visiting rounds over the next few days; it takes me a while to get around to everyone. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Blessings,
Denise

What beautiful blossoms, gardens and just general loveliness!!! The garden is most beautiful isn't it. Your guest bedroom looks very cosy for winter or summer for anyone coming to stay, I am sure they are very welcome indeed. Thank you for taking part in Five On Friday, I hope you have a great weekend! xx
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely post and the dogwoods should be blooming when we get home to Indiana. I am so anxious to see our azaleas. I'm guessing it's time for me to get home. Have a grand weekend!
ReplyDeleteI'm about ready to switch to spring/ summer things for the bedroom too.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful blossoming trees! Love this time of year. Thanks for reminding me to go turn the page of my calendar! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteDogwoods are one of my all time favorites and I love your photo! The rose is just wonderful to see, too, along with your other photos.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely idea to change your bedroom seasonally, I tend to just add a blanket I might have to re think, inspirational.
ReplyDeleteOnce the calendar turns to April, it's really and truly spring. The creamy dogwood blooms are gorgeous. You really do transform a room from season to season. Both looks are lovely and appropriate. Happy April days to you, Denise.
ReplyDeleteThose blossoms are gorgeous and yes, red doesn't really seem right. They look great against the blue skies too - and like you I have no idea where March went to! Hope you've had a fab weekend, stopping by from Amy's Five on Friday :)
ReplyDeleteYour roses are gorgeous. Just stunning. Love your redbud and dogwood pics too.
ReplyDeleteHow nice to have summer and winter linens.
Yes, March flew by. Actually, all the months are that way. I think we stay too busy.
