I Forgot One Thing!
Hello, gentle readers and Happy Saturday to you. Thanks for your responses on my post yesterday on how to clean your windows and glass doors. But...I forgot to tell you one really important thing about the new method (head slap!) I forgot to tell you that you're supposed to wet the chamois cloth first rather than using it dry. The author of A Brit in Tennessee was kind enough to remind me last night that you need to wet the cloth in warm water, wring it out, and then start your cleaning. Spray with your window cleaner then wipe with a damp chamois cloth. Thank you, Jo, for your reminder on that!

A Tip For Cleaning Windows and Glass Doors
Thank you for all your kind comments on our summer porch! I always love your visits and comments. :) I'm really enjoying the porch and the flowers so far because I didn't plant any last year or the year before -- just wasn't into summer and hot weather. But I've always been happiest when I have flowers to putter around in, and I'm so glad I took the trouble to plant some this year. We're trying to get our yard in better shape; it's a bit overwhelming at the moment. I plan to keep working on it into the fall so that next spring, we'll really be able to tell a difference.
But I digress. I promised to tell you how I got our storm door so clean and streak-free, and some of you have mentioned that you would like to know the secret.

Our Patriotic Summer Porch
Hi folks! Can you believe June is already half over? Honestly, I can't. This has been the fastest spring and summer -- the days just fly by faster and faster. I wanted to share the further progress that I've made on our front porch. The three things I mentioned in my previous porch post that I wanted to do can be checked off my list. I still have a couple more things, and then I'll consider the porch done for the summer (except for keeping the flowers watered, of course).

Duncan Checking In
Hello everyone! Several of you have been asking me how Duncan is, and I realize I've been remiss in not writing about him lately. I haven't had time to write about him because I've been too busy trying to keep up with him. I believe he has been our most challenging Scottie yet. Part of it, I think, is that it's been 25 years since we had an eight-week old puppy, and we had forgotten just how much work they are.
You'll notice he's grown quite a bit.
