English Robin in the Snow

I just couldn't resist posting this charming image while we're still enjoying the Christmas holidays.  I have always thought these English Robins are the most darling little birds; I hate to say it, but much cuter to my way of thinking than their larger cousin, the American Robin.

Here he is with a few embellishments from PicMonkey.

The birds have been flocking to our feeders the last few days, and we dearly love to watch them, yet more of God's interesting and colorful creatures.  Yesterday we actually had a Blue Bird visit our Bark Butter feeder -- he was gorgeous!  I really wish we could have gotten a picture of him.

What are all of you doing on this Day After Christmas?  I hope you're getting a chance to enjoy some of the beauty around you.

  2. We have a friend in England who sends us a card every year and it seems that cute little robin is always prominently featured on them. I agree with you, they are cuter than our robins.
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. I just got home from work and am wondering if it's too early to hop into my pj's. :).

  6. Yesterday I spent part of the day taking down decorations and playing with Tristan and his new toys. Legos, trains, and games. What an adorable little bird. I have never seen one at our feeder.

  9. Love the way you played with that picture! That's cute. I don't know that I've ever seen one. (English robin) As for this house? We're still trying to recover from Christmas food overload. It doesn't help that we get together for left overs and then just got back from a birthday breakfast for my mom. Stuffed...

  10. Day after Christmas? Playing with my camera out in the snow of course!

I didn't know that American robins are different from English robins. The English one ARE much cuter!
Thanks for the tip about Pic Monkey.
