New Puppy Pictures

Happy Monday everyone!  I have a few cute, cuddly puppies to show you.  The breeder that we are getting our new Scottie puppy from sends e-mails to us (and the owners of the other pups in the litter) at least once a week, with updated pictures and info. about the puppies.  I love that she does this!!  They are three weeks old now, and they will be able to go home with their new families at eight weeks old.

This weekend, Jane shared that they all got their nails trimmed, got their first wet feeding, and were introduced to toys; then they promptly crashed after all the excitement.  :)

The lighter colored pup with his head next to the yellow ball is ours.  He's going to be named Duncan MacGregor McGee (now you know my last name :).  But we'll just call him Duncan.  Even MacDuff's name got shortened to "Duffers" a big part of the time.  I still miss our sweet MacDuff.

Our new Scottie's color is brindle.  This will be a new adventure for us, as we've never had one this color before.  We've had a black Scottie and a wheaten one, and now a brindle.

This is Duncan by himself.

He looks sleepy, doesn't he?  :)

It looks like everyone gave the toys a good workout.  I love the way they sleep in a pile.  :)

We've never picked out a puppy as soon as it was born before.  This is quite new for us.  We picked Bonnie and MacDuff out in person when they were a little bit older than this (MacDuff was actually four months old when we first saw him).  But we've only seen Duncan in pictures.  We'll be able to bring him home on March 1st.  Hubby and I have been saying (only half-jokingly) that we've got to get in shape before then, because this little fellow will wear us out.  Seriously.  He will keep us hopping.

What is your favorite thing about puppies?  We love that puppy smell and those fat, little tummies.  Thanks for stopping by for a visit -- I hope you have a great day!

Denise

  1. I love the puppy smell also and their little fat tummies and how they snuggle so close to you. Can hardly wait to see him grow - such a darling puppy. They are so trusting and loving at that age. I know how excited you are to bring him home.

  2. I confess I'm not a dog lover and the only puppy (a collie) we had was when I was a small child. But I think it's so cool that you can "see" your new puppy each week, and I love the name you chose! You will have lots of fun get quite fit with all the walks you'll take!

  3. Congratulations, Denise. He is a cutie, I love the brindle coloring. A friend has a Boston terror brindle. I was thinking a cute nickname would be Duffy - Duncan and MacDuff. xo

  11. Hi Denise, thanks for your sweet comment! The Moksi Homes is indeed a new blog, my personal one is Daydream Living, that's where I know Laura from. And what a treat to see your cute little puppie here! We had a dog ourself, a pug named Mackenzie, like yours there's a Mac in the name. Sadly she passed away but we still talk about her daily, they become part of the family for us. All the best with Duncan soon,
    Maureen x
