Happy Mother's Day

I want to wish my Mom, my Mother-in-Law, my sister, and all my sweet blogging friends a very Happy and Blessed Mother's Day!

My very special Mother's Day gift this year was watching our son graduate from college on Friday morning.  What a gift -- I'm so very proud of you, Will!  My heart is full and my spirit is happy.

On Thursday, the night before the commencement ceremony, I lay in bed trying to get to sleep.  I remembered the day after our son was born, when our parents came to see us in the hospital room.  What an amazing journey from there to here.  On this Mother's Day, I am so grateful to God for letting me have a son; I have been immeasurably blessed.

I'm also so grateful to my mother and my husband's mother for all their contributions over the years -- for the countless ways, large and small, in which their love, assistance, prayers, and understanding made the job of parenting just a little bit easier for me and my husband.  The example they set continues to be an inspiration to me.  Thank you both; we love you dearly!!!

Thank you for your visit, and I hope you all get a chance to enjoy this beautiful spring day!

  3. Happy Mother's Day to you, Denise. I had a fabulous weekend with one set of kids. We celebrated my MIL's 87th birthday with extended family on Saturday. We have one grandchild for the week which will be a treat. My Mother's Day has been lovely. I hope yours is evolving nicely also. I have several hours to myself and I am enjoying the scent of Confederate Jasmine and the beautiful day with many birds singing. A lovely weather day here. I am so blessed with a wonderful family.
